Why locals recommend it

It’s kind of a hidden spot. I love going there because their yakitori selection is really good. I’ll basically order one of each—the chicken heart, the tendon, the thigh, and the chicken meatballs—and I’ll eat that all up, and then I’ll come back and order their gyoza, and finally their carbonara udon to round out my meal. They have these really cool chairs at the yakitori bar that spin around so you can watch them as they grill everything. They cook over binchotan, which is super-white charcoal that cooks food really quickly and keeps all the flavors inside by creating a nice sear on the outside.

Delicious Japanese food.

Japanese Izakaya. Not a sushi restaurant although they will have a sashimi item on the menu. It's more about the grilled skewers and creative specialty dishes the chef prepares using local ingredients with an authentic Japanese flair. Next door is an AHmazing Japanese whiskey bar that also serves craft cocktails. Go before of after dinner.

If you're in the mood for Japanese robatayaki, Rintaro is the perfect spot. Their skewered meats and vegetables are cooked over a binchotan charcoal grill, giving them a delicious smoky flavor. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here, it's that good!

We’ve been trying to get reservations for months, but still have not succeeded! So we haven’t tried it, we’ve heard it’s great!
