A small peek into the history of Amsterdam through the lens of a chalk mill dating back to 1792.
This windmill that was built in 1792 and recently restored to functioning after being in disrepair for many years. It was used to make chalk, ground up stone that was then purposed to make grout for sea walls and other uses. Do visit and please make donation, it is maintained and run by volunteers.
