Dry Garden Nursery

Why locals recommend it

This nursery is where I get all of my aloe plants, and where I send my clients to do the same. I believe in having your own garden and using what you grow for skin care and wellness, and I’m particularly huge on aloe—for skin, for hair, to eat, and to drink. Dry Garden is run by funny old people, and it’s a bit clustered, but it’s quintessential Berkeley. Along with aloe, pick up some calendula seeds. I’ll plant it and grow it, then dry the flowers, soak them in hot water, and drink it in a tea or apply it topically to my skin.
