I’ve yet to make it here, but this is where the highest mountain in Maine is as well as the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.

This is were Mt. Katahdin is and there are some smaller trails that you can hike without going to the top.

Baxter State Park has several hundred miles of hiking trails, enough that it would take virtually the summer to hike them all!
