“Neighborhood spot” and “mind-blowing food” are two phrases that don’t really go together. Excellent date spot, with wine and kombucha on tap and a really excellent menu for small bites or a full dinner. Friendly staff. They do pastries and coffee in the morning after 8am as well.
Named after the landlords, who operated a neighborhood newstand/convenience store here for decades. Now, in homage to drummer Gene Krupa, a cool bar and small-plate restaurant, sometimes with live music. Nice back garden.
Nice spot for brunch or dinner. It is near Prospect Park. You can make a reservation if you want to plan ahead, or else just drop by.
