Used to be the Ritz. Spectacular grounds. Spectacular tennis club. Turtle sanctuary. Walk along their beach - all beaches in Hawaii are public. Use their free parking.

If it’s a windy day and you still want to go to the beach, the pool like lagoon at the Fairmont is a perfect choice! Pull into “guest parking” and take a left down the last row of parking. Drive down and take a right then a left to get to the far back corner. You will find a path that leads you to this lagoon beach. The water is perfectly calm and they have a beach bar for all your favorite treats :) The snorkeling is actually pretty good if you swim out far enough. And there are usually turtles right outside the lagoon.

You can walk, bike or take a short drive to the Beach at the Fairmont, Orchid Hotel. You are welcome to drink and eat at one of their ocean side bar or have a reasonably priced lunch at their deli. While dinning at Brown's Bar be sure to look to the beach and count the resting Honu ( Sea Turtles). Our record is 15, and please remember to look and not touch these sacred animals.
