The bridge is remarkable and noted for its rare vertical end posts. At the top of the end posts, you will find plaques reading T. B. Co. 1880. From one end of the bridge, you can see stunning mountain views, and the beautiful Bow River flowing underneath. There are branches where you can sit and relax or just walk along where the river flows. This historic bridge is meant for pedestrian traffic only. Note: Do not try to jump off the bridge as it is not allowed. Fines are imposed if caught jumping.

Bowriver trail is a 6.1km walk following the beautiful bow river. A favorite walk is from riverside park to the engine bridge. You can cross the bridges and make a loop. This is the iconic bridge from the HBO show "The Last of Us".

Great views surrounded by fantastic trails to bike or walk. Be sure to be aware of potential wildlife, as you are surrounded by wilderness. Bow River looks stunning and the mountain panorama is breathtaking as well!
