Outstanding Mexican food in Southwest Detroit with made-at-the-table guacamole (the best I've had in Michigan). Interesting options too like lobster quesadillas, and reasonably priced. Worth a try!

This is quality over quatity. A hidden gem in a rough part of Springwells Detroit, you can expect exceptional Mexican food here. There is secure fenced parking and it is BYOB, so you can save money and grab booze from the liquor store down the street.”

Mexican Steakhouse (Bring a bottle of your own beer or wine). The steak and the cazuela de mariscos (seafood dish) are our favs. You must try the poblano soup. This is a true local tip and off the beaten path for those looking for something less frequented by travelers.
