Mood Fabrics

As a textile designer, I buy in bulk from professional showrooms, but for my own personal fabric shopping I often find myself at this shop. Much of the fabric is left over from New York designers’ professional production, so each time you’ll find something different—but always something funky and unique. I picked up peacock green silk here that I love. This shop is in the heart of the garment district, so stick around to wander the neighboring streets to discover other fabric stores. They’re everywhere on 37th, 38th, and 39th Streets between 7th and 8th Avenues.
