The Colonel John Ashley House is a historic house museum just down the block. It is also where "Mum Bett", a slave who sued for her freedom, lived.

Right near Bartholemew's Cobble is a historic house important to the history of the end of slavery in this country.

The Colonel Ashley house is very historical and interesting. Home of Mumbet, the slave woman who fought for her freedom and won. A wonderful place to visit and learn some history of the area.

Great wildlife refuge with canoe trips on the weekends. Tour the Ashley House, oldest home in the Berkshires and where slavery ended in Massachusetts.
