This tightly-packed eatery is full of Vietnamese tuck shop flair and the fast-paced hawker-style vibe inside creates an electric atmosphere. With the quintessential rice bowl lamp shades, an alleyway-like corridor creating the real street-food feel and the excitement of the fiery woks being banged around in the kitchen, customers can experience a bit of Vietnam just off Chapel Street. Customer favorites include the traditional Peking duck pancakes, satay chicken and young coconut rice-paper roles, and BBQ pork char sui buns - but I can never go past the vermicelli salad with crab net roles. Don't skip the refreshing slushy, made of frozen young coconut juice, blended with lychees and mint (with or without rum).
