A little towards downtown but a great place to walk around and enjoy a sunset over the river. Also across the bridge on a hill there is a GREAT photo spot with Richmond skyline as background. Very lively and nice area. There is also Belles Isle that you can walk. You can spend quite a lot of time exploring this area.

Fun walk path over the river and crosses over to a loop where you can check out people "rock" climbing. Great view of the city with history tied in along the way.

Though used to connect the north and south sides of the river, the T. Pott Bridge can also be the destination for sun-seekers. With several benches and both East and West-facing views, you’re sure to find the perfect spot to take in our beautiful city during sunrise or sunset. Location: Park at the bottom of the Hill at 501 S 5th St and then cross Brown’s Island heading toward the river, you’ll find the entrance to the T. Pott Bridge on the Southwest edge of the island.
