Tips from locals
The West Village is a great place for food, sight seeing, gardens, and local art. Also see historic homes and find artisanal shopping. You can find free parking in the residential areas!
The last true neighborhood in NYC, vibrant and fun, lots of small shops and restaurants. It’s own community and world within Manhattan
Another favorite neighborhood to wander around - great shops and even better restaurants. Must see!
West village is a extremely cute neighborhood. It’s quite with beautiful pre war architecture and tree lined streets.
Take the L train to 8th ave and take a walk around the West Village, one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city!
Oh, the West Village. It feels like an escape even within Manhattan with its picture-perfect townhouses, tree-lined streets, and quaint shops and cafés. It’s perhaps the most desirable neighborhood in NYC, and once you spend a day here, you’ll see why. You’ll eat well, shop well, and feel a world…
Landmarked neighborhood which means less construction, small houses and a lot less noise. The West Village is much more of a residential area with fewer bars and restaurants than the East Village. Quality, not quantity and less chaotic. Great place to visit and live!
