Great dinner spot. Amazing food. Please try the Hamachi! A good but $$$ date spot.

Like the 19th-century homes nearby, the restaurants in downtown's Heritage Square are making history: Both Pizzeria Bianco (heralded as the best pizza in the nation) and Nobuo at Teeter House (sophisticated Japanese offered tapas-style) are James Beard Award winners.

Historic, architectural space in old downtown Phoenix with incredible, innovative Japanese eats! Pricey but worth it!

A modern izakaya in a historic bungalow set in the middle of eveything going on downtown. Chef Nobuo Fukuda is one of the great talents in Phoenix. Call ahead and put yourself in his hands for his tasting menu or just show up and enjoy yourself a la carte.
