Set in 100 acres of stunning, privately owned parkland, in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Thornbridge Hall is a must visit (especially for families with young children). There is a large nursery of plants that can be purchased, beautiful Quakers café overlooking the gardens and, for a small fee, you can walk around the gardens where there is plenty of activities for children to enjoy.

I have just discovered this place and my 2 year old absolutely loved it. He spent hours catching plastic ducks and paddling in the fountain. I would advise you to eat before you go as the cafe is expensive. Also take my nets with you save buying them.
