West Cliff Beach A large sandy beach accessed by numerous points along the cliff down long ramps to reach the bottom or using the Cliff Lift (summer moths). West cliff beach is home to the colourful line of beach huts available for hire. Near the slipway at west Pier, you can hire deckchairs and windbreaks. Lifeguards are there from May - September.

Visit the historic town of Whitby for anything from a whale watching boat tour, to the dracular experience. End your day walking up the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey to enjoy a pint overlooking this beautiful town. 10 miles from cottage, end of trainline.
