The Ballyheigue Beach is an ideal spot of sun bathing (in the summer), swimming, fishing and kayaking. During the summer there is often a mobile surfing school set up at the beach too. The strand stretching for miles and miles, right down to Banna beach and beyond, so if walking is your thing they you are in for a treat and with the mountains of the Dingle peninsula with you all the way the views are amazing as well.

13km from Ballyduff. Ballyheigue Blue Flag Beach is an extensive sandy beach located beside Ballyheigue in County Kerry. It looks out over Tralee Bay and is great place for swimming, surfing, walking and other water sports activities.

Another great beach, lots of space , Sandhills and waves. Can drive up to the beach. Situated right on Ballyheigue village. You can get ice cream and treats, teas and coffees and have a picnic on the beach. Lifeguard on duty. Great walk over to Blackrock island if the tide is out. Approx 45 mins each way, depending on fitness. Can walk onto island, very special, very remote. If you have kids, great playground opposite beach, with amazing beach and west Kerry mountain views.
