This trail follows the Salmon River through an old-growth forest. Beautiful! Mostly gentle grades with a few short hills. The trail intersects with the road in places so there are many spots to access the trail from the road -Level: Easy -Length: 5 miles round trip -Fee: NW Forest Pass required -Season: Snow-free most of the year, although you might have to ford swollen streams in winter and spring months -Directions: At Hwy 26, milepost 41.8, turn south on Salmon River Rd, continue for 2.5 miles. -Distance from Komorebi: 5.2 miles *The Zigzag Ranger Station is 2.2 miles from Komorebi if you want more information or need to p/u a pass.
