This is a quiet small historic village run by a trust. You can take a picnic and walk through the small cottages and workshops.

Set on a historical piece of land, the museum contains a nationally significant collection of the Gold Coast's early days. The site itself was an Aboriginal gathering place and in the late 1800's a cemetery for local pioneer workers and family. A few of the museum's attractions include, a reproduction of an early settler's cottage, the original studio of artist Vincent Sheldon, a display of Aboriginal artifacts, equipment used in the Southport cable station, a large collection and display of photographs, a collection of Paula Stafford bikinis and many more items that inform the Gold Coast's heritage and past.
