Milsoms is a great spot for lunch or dinner and is a very popular restaurant. You cannot book a table but it is a fair size venue and I have never failed to get a table. You can sample one of their many cocktails in the lounge if you have a little wait. There is also a large covered patio that you can enjoy all year round. They do have heaters and provide blankets on chillier evenings. There is plenty to choose from on the menu. My go to dish is the Duck Taco’s. 4 min by car 25min walk (the meadows do flood in the winter)

Lovely restaurant in the heart of constable country 10 minute drive from our accommodation. They don’t take bookings it’s just a turn up and eat basis. Milsoms Stratford Road Dedham Colchester CO7 6HW Tel 01206 322795

They are open all day and there’s no need to book in advance, so please call in whenever you like. OUTDOOR DINING Enjoy fabulous al fresco dining at Milsoms any time of the day. The terrace, which is covered by an architectural sail and fully heated, is a fantastic setting for outdoor dining in Essex.
