Why locals recommend it

On Graham Street in Islington, there’s a docking station where you can pick up a city bike and explore Regent’s Canal, home to ramshackle canal boats, great cafes, and some very brave swans. On a Saturday, drop off your bike at the dock on Regents Row in Hackney to explore Broadway Market, one of London’s best street markets. If you’re hungry when you reach Regents Row, stroll through London Fields to the Dandy Cafe on Helmsley Place, hidden in two refurbished shipping containers. The brunch of poached eggs with bagna cauda (anchovy and garlic dip) is ridiculously good.

Swings, climbing frames for the little ones. Grassed area for bbqs/ picnics and access to the City Road basin to feed the ducks, swans, geese or just grab a few minutes peace from the hustle and bustle of the city.
