This tower has really thick walls of about 1 m. You can climb up and have a wonderful view, but you already get that when you are on top. From Kärnan there are going stairs down to the center. Just leave your car on Nicolai parking lot, visit Kärnan and walk down the stairs to the center of Helsingborg

What remains of the old fortress of Helsingborg. You can walk up all the stairs if you have the energy... :) Lovely view guaranteed when you make it!

Kärnan is a medieval tower in Helsingborg, Scania, in southern Sweden. It is the only part remaining of a larger Danish fortress which, along with the fortress Kronborg on the opposite of Øresund, controlled the entranceway between Kattegat and Øresund and further south the Baltic Sea.
