St Michan's dates from 1095 and the current Church was built in 1686. What St. Michan's is most famous for is the mummified remains in their vaults, which are open to the public. It has restricted hours due to the fact it is a operating church.
Underneath the church are five long burial vaults containing mummified remains. Bram Stoker may have got some inspiration here.
