Within walking distance, but on the other side of 183, on Anderson Mill, is this Austin staple that I have been frequenting since we moved here in 2008. They offer more traditional Mexican dishes, (not Tex-Mex!!!) You walk in, pick a spot to sit, then your drink order will be taken, chips and salsa/menus brought. I recommend ordering a torta any time of the day, and breakfast tacos or a migas plate for breakfast. Only second to my mom’s cooking, this restaurant does Mexican food nearby the best! It also has a nice and calming view to the highway’s access road. I recommend this place as it’s within walking distance, well priced and authentic! Watch the cars and time pass as you enjoy your dish and the Austin setting!
