Hasbrouck House served as Washington's headquarters during the Revolutionary War from April 1782 until August 1783. It was chosen for its comparatively safe location north of the strategically important West Point. Located on gentrified Liberty Street.
Historic home and adjacent museum where George Washington fought the revolution from 1782-1783. The first State Park in the USA! Great view of the Hudson, nice place for a picnic.
From April 1, 1782 to August 19, 1783 George Washington used this fieldstone farmhouse as his headquarters from which he negotiated with Congress, oversaw troops, and ordered cessation of hostilities. A fun trip!
