Great place to swim in the bay. Free and purposely designed to be insulated for swimmers to avoid rocks and waves. Lots of swimmers in wetsuits their during winter. Even a great place to watch swimmers since there is bleacher seating.

Bocce Courts (there's a set of balls in the front closet), a pier to walk out, and a little patch of beach. Just below Ghiradelli Square. Watch folks training for Annual swim from Alcatraz making their way through the cold waters. This is where 4th of July fireworks launch, too.

Monarch butterflies are overwintering here for the first time ever this year! Great birdwatching in winter as well.

Small lake type area. Only 1 block from apt. Great for walking or running. Want a good run, cross the park to get to the University Street Pedestrian Bridge which will take you to the Berkeley Marina.
