Family favorite for sure! Humor and excellent food make this a ‘must try before you die’ stop in Tennessee.

“The Ocoee River has been described as the “roller coaster of the south east'! About 30 minutes West of Murphy on 64 West, pass over the Tennessee line and enter the Cherokee National Forrest. This is where some activities for the 1996 Olympics took place. The ranger station and bridge area comes up on your left side. You can park below and check out the inside of the Ranger Station, maps and info on the area. You can go across the bridge and either hike a trail or take a right and it runs along the river, nice walk and fun on the rocks. For Swimming: go to the LEFT of the bridge and follow that trail down about 75-100 feet and you will find some open areas to the water. The water does not run on the weekday and it creates big pools of clear water. Kids will have fun swimming and jumping off the rocks.”
