It is a magical scene; however, it is not located in some commercialized grand theme park, but rather it is in a small woodland, hidden on a side road in the quaint town of Warsaw, Virginia and known to all as “The Enchanted Forest.” Over 30 years ago, Tom Rhodes (the artist) purchased a parcel of land (11 acres) and decided to create an artistic take on an easy walk in the forest. During your hike, you will recognize many fantastical characters. This is loved by all ages. (25 minutes away)

Really fun walking trail for families- kids love to find all the carvings in the trees and following the map that visitors receive.

About 40 min from the cottage. Great for all ages. A small walking trail that has multiple character carvings. Expect to spend about 45 min to an hour looking while hiking about a mile.
