Catch the ferry to/from Queenscliff for the day as a passenger or take the car.
You could catch the ferry over to Queenscliffe and enjoy lunch or afternoon tea at 360 or one of the many cafes, or enjoy a tour of the Fort to learn about the history of the area.
Vehicular and passenger ferries link Sorrento across Port Philip to Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula, and on to the Great Ocean Road. Ferries are prolific, they run on the hour every hour during the day, and offer magnificent views of the multi-million dollar mansions atop the Portsea and Sorrento cliffs, and the picturesque Point Nepean and the Port Phillip Heads on the 45-minute journey to Queenscliff. The small inter-island ferry between Stony Point and Phillip Island that carries passengers only also stops at French island in the middle of Western Port. It is such a cool experience to take the ferry trip across, and then go out for brunch or lunch in some of the gorgeous spots in Queenscliff! French Island is also amazing to visit.
