Tips from locals
Traditional neighborhood with food, museums, churches, theaters, parks, craftsmanship and music all over. Don't miss Cantina "La Coyoacana", Mercado de Garnachas or El Morral. For refined tastes: Corazón de Maguey, Ave María and Los Danzantes.
One of the most representatives Neighborhood at Mexico City, Frida Kalo house/museum is there. A lot of mexican restaurants and cantinas around. The best place to try Chapulines and Elotes.
Grab a seat in the park and listen to local music players or have lunch at a restaurant around the park. Then walk through the park and visit Coyoacan's Cathedral or visit the market for crafts, apparel and souvenirs.
Great place to visit.... museums, restaurants, cathedrals, plazas, food market.
Beautiful park/plazas in Coyoacan center. Historic landmarks, great food, a huge craft market, and tons of ambiance. Highly recommend visiting at least once.
