Delicious local favorite... Italian American cuisine. Cozy and comfortable, tried and true. They recently opened a very cool bar which is hopping in the evenings pretty much all week long! OUR STORY Neighborhood…is it the people that define it? Or maybe the gathering places within it? How comfortable you feel there…However you describe it, we are blessed to be a part of this great neighborhood of San Anselmo. Cucina has a long history here. Since 1998 in fact. But today we are a reinvented version of your old neighborhood favorite. The redefined Cucina SA is a warm, cozy, delicious way to spend a few hours with family and friends. The Full Bar always has the local game on serving wine, beer, and specialty cocktails, the wood fired pizza oven is stoked each evening and the friendly staff is as inviting as our little town. The southern Italian dishes are thoughtful and specials always surprise. Whether you live up the street or are coming in from the city you’ll enjoy the efforts to serve and hopefully delight you. Plenty of smiles here. The owner, Donna welcomes you back or invites you in for a visit. We are always here, hope you will be soon!

Just a few minutes west of San Rafael in the quaint little village of San Anselmo you'll find Cucina SA. Open for lunch & dinner, ding inside or outside over the creek, this casual Italian eatery serves homemade pastas, wood-fired pizza & wine. Full bar as well. This is a local gem driven by regulars. Highly recommended.

The food and service here is excellent. It’s also a very lively restaurant with an intimate but fun wine bar in the back while you wait for a table. Love the gnocchi here, beet salad, and seafood.
