Historic, renovated, train station in the heart of Virginia hunt and wine country. This private oasis sits on the second floor above three gorgeous art studios belonging to local artists. Enroll in an art workshop, enjoy twilight polo and horse races at Great Meadows, or find yourself having a romantic dinner in our little village of The Plains.
“Caro's place is the epitome of an authentic experience. The apartment is lovely, comfortable, and historic. Nice touches, too -- coffee, muffins, Perriers! It's an old train station that stopped being used in the 1940s, but the train still runs by. It's quirky and fun IMHO. Beautiful art studios below. Stairs to the apartment are steep-ish, so if you over imbibe, be careful! Cute restaurants and shops within walking distance and close to Middleburg and Marshall. Toot!”
Need to social distance? Our quiet country studio is far enough from Washington DC to get away without being gone. Ideal for grabbing some space, a long run, a bike ride, or visiting local wineries. The Appalachian Trail is just a stone's throw away. We respect your privacy. No smoking is allowed and internet access is from your own hot-spot. The studio includes a satellite TV, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The queen-size bed and skylight make Rose End a cozy escape.
“This place is better than the pictures! A wonderful quick getaway from the city for us. It's really cozy and decorated with lots of artsy details. Lots of thoughtful amenities such as toiletries like face wipes, a cheeseboard in the kitchen nook, and a flashlight for going outside. The backyard sitting area features a super charming garden and woods view and kitties. Great location just a few minutes down the road from The Plains, which has a number of eateries and a coffee house and just a touch further brings you to Warrenton, which has lots of restaurant options and a great bookshop (The Open Book). Also close by is Hollin Farm, great for U-Pick fruits and veggies. Beautiful country roads all around.”

“How can I begin to describe our wonderful weekend at Fox Crossing Cottage? Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, our son’s wedding was changed to an intimate gathering of immediate family. Thanks to the generosity of Rob and Lina, we were able to celebrate the happy couple with beauty and joy! The lovely outdoor areas provided many opportunities for photos of the bride and groom who had their hearts set on some outdoor pictures in their wedding attire. The charming cottage was an excellent venue for a meal and companionship due to the cozy and delightful decorations and furnishings. And, after all the excitement was over, my husband and I could relax in comfort reflecting on a day never to be forgotten. Lina and Rob made sure that we had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. Many, many thanks from both families!”
