Almost definitely the best place to stay if you are visiting Cork city. Pretty special being in such a peaceful, relaxed, Irish countryside environment while still only a short drive to the city centre and even shorter to the airport. The cabin itself a wonderful space. Well equipped, all new amenities, spotless, but with a bit of a comforting homestead feel. Spacious well beyond expectations, lots of room if you want to stay in and whip up a nice meal in the kitchen and sit at the table or on the couch. If there’s a break in the weather it’s lovely to sit outside and look out over the orchard. While we ate breakfast outside a very friendly pooch would also come to visit us for some pats. 5 stars. Padraig and Fanny are fantastic hosts, super friendly, always helpful and responsive, made our stay easy and hassle free. Highly recommended listing. Thanks again guys.

I stayed at this location back in 2018 and loved it so much that I came back. I can say that even years later it was such a wonderful stay. The hosts are so kind and communicative. The Airbnb is private, peaceful and beautiful. The croissants in the morning are still the best I’ve had. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

We had high expectations due to the great reviews, and we were still blown away. The house, the surroundings, but especially all the little details that were thought of made our stay truly special. (We don’t want to give too much away, but just the welcome alone felt far beyond an ordinary Airbnb) We could completely relax and switch off. The breakfast basket filled with farm products was the cherry on top. This was truly the most beautiful Airbnb we’ve stayed in, with so much love for detail. Thank you, Claire, for your warm hospitality and for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Wow!!! What an absolutely unbelievable experience, we just loved spending the night in a castle. The suite was spotless, exactly as described and very private. Louise was so welcoming, she answered all our questions promptly, took time to give us the history as well as made recommendations for our day trip . I would highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

Gina was absolutely amazing, and her place was everything we could have hoped for—quiet, peaceful, and impeccably clean. We had a fantastic time during our stay. The location was easy to find, and her two incredibly friendly dogs made the experience even more special. Gina’s warm and humble nature truly stood out. She went above and beyond by leaving us a delightful breakfast spread, including milk, juice, cereal, coffee, tea, bread, butter, jam, fruits, and oatmeal. It was such a thoughtful touch, and we couldn’t have asked for more. I wholeheartedly recommend her place for anyone seeking a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Very nice and comfortable accommodation. we appreciated the wood burning stove ready to be used. Catherine is available on-site and is very easy to communicate with her and her husband. Their house is outside Cork but with a car it's not a problem. We enjoyed our stay very much.

If you spend any amount of time in Ireland, you MUST stay in this castle. The descriptions in this listing are spot-on correct. It was super clean, beautiful and felt like you stepped back in time. I highly recommend you do go out to the top of the castle as you can see for miles. Beautiful country surrounding the castle. Peaceful and quiet. As other reviews state, the stairs are no joke! Also, the Great Room is located on the “third” floor after the second large bedroom. We got in after traveling for about 36 hours and were exhausted. And didn’t go farther than the two bedrooms and was confused. So… just keep going (and going!) up the stairs. We also left our luggage downstairs and just took what we needed upstairs. The only thing we wish is that we would have not booked it for the day we arrived in Ireland due to travel and jet lag, we were so tired we didn’t take full advantage of the things available in the great room. We highly recommend and would stay here again!
