Vacation rentals in Te Wharau

This is the second time I've stayed at Kate's cottage. It's such a lovely spot, close to town but just out in the county so you feel nicely secluded. A nice walk to the river in the evening. The cottage is charming and beautifully decorated, also loved cosying up to a nice fire. Kate also left some yummy baked goods and a loaf of bread and homemade lime marmalade. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at Fiona's place -- the A-frame house was very comfortable with nice touches (love the flamingos!), and a great view of the beach and sunrise from the bedroom. Really nice and handy to be able to just walk over the dunes to the beach -- the dogs enjoyed the beach very much, and we'll definitely be back in future.

My husband & I had an incredible stay at Anna & Ross’! Wonderful scenery that provided a peaceful atmosphere to rest & recover. We were beyond blessed to stay in such a place & can’t wait to come back again!

We had such a fabulous time. Would go there again in a heartbeat. Jan greeted us with such genuine warmth. She gave us lots of ideas of where we could hike and encouraged us to make ourselves at home around the property. The cottage was cosy and really stylish. Everything was just perfect. We would love to return in the summer and swim in the pool. Lots of spring lambs and stunning native bush amongst rolling hills of farmland. Being both coeliac, it wasn’t a problem to find us something delicious for breakfast. Totally recommend this place for a peaceful retreat with plenty of good country fresh air.

Very beautiful place with a great view and wonderful inclusions that make the stay very special. Don’t forget to bring a few sticks to play fetch with the friendly host dog Bonnie 😊

Sandra greeted us on arrival and made sure we were well settled. She was very proactive with communication beforehand as well. The place was so cozy and the view was beautiful. We were lucky enough to have a clear sky night one and the stargazing was spectacular. Had a lovely time doing a quick drive into Featherston and check out all the bookstores and grabbing a bite. The sunrise over the lake was gorgeous. Wonderful stay. Thank you for having us.

A lovely rural part of the world, we really enjoyed spending the time unplugged and playing the games supplied! Easy check in and beautiful views, although outside was cold with high winds inside was warm and inviting even without the fire. The outdoor bath was beautiful, we enjoyed it as soon as we woke up with a morning coffee.

This cabin is absolutely amazing. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Spent time there reading outside amongst the olive trees and enjoying the little log burner while looking at the stars. Would definitely indulge and stay here again! Thank you for having such an amazing place!
