West Auchenhean, Rosie's Cottage

FlorenceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My friend and I chose this cottage for a quiet getaway with our dogs and it was just what we hoped it would be. We were welcomed by Barbara and Graeme upon arrival and they were very kind and helpful if we had any queries at all. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the bedrooms were stunning and there were plenty walks nearby the property, which were especially lovely in the evening with the sunsets. It was the perfect scenic escape we needed. Thank you Barbara and Graeme (and Rosie the golden retriever of course!).

Mrs Leonard's Cottage with hot tub and sauna

RichardRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Pi's place is a beautiful cottage with both mountain and sea views over Jura. The facilities are perfect and the hot tub and sauna really made the stay special. It was so relaxing watching the birds in the garden round the feeders and stargazing at night from the hot tub

#1 Country Escape with Sea Views, Ayr, Ayrshire

MeganRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Clare’s place is stunningly beautiful from the tasteful interior design to the outside garden. It’s clear she put a lot of heart and soul into making this place special. Location is perfect to easily get to Culzean castle or into the town of Ayr. We loved being tucked away into the rolling farm hills to watch the sheep, horses and cows graze. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone!

4 Bed in AYR (90038)

AnitaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We booked this cottage as a meeting place for family coming together for a wedding in Ayr. Half from Buckinghamshire in England and the other half flying in from Austin Texas. Youngest 25 and eldest nearly 90! The accommodation was a perfect fit for us all. Plenty of space to spread out. Gorgeous, peaceful outlook to sit and watch the wildlife or to take a stroll along the path to the front of the property. Local restaurant The Holly Bush is very close, with wonderful views. Food was delicious and the owner super friendly and welcoming. Dumfries House is well worth a visit. With its free gardens to explore and take in nature. Plenty to keep all ages entertained. We also visited the beach at Maidens. Paddled in the sea, strolled along the pathway to take in a drink at the Ropes Bistro. A visit in to Lagg, another stroll along the seafront and a stop for tea and scones at Nardini's which is best known for its Ice Cream. Loch Doon Castle is worth a visit to take in the scenery alone.

House with private hot tub and views of west coast

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

3 Bedroom Cottage with Hot Tub and Log Burner

CaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Fab time. Lovely spotless cottage, comfy beds very private. Only issue there was only 3 wine glasses and there was 4 of us. So someone had to have a gin glass. But think they were happy about it. Thank you to our host, plenty of communication all questions answered. Would look to stay again should we return to Oban. Thank you

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage, it was a lovely cosy space, with everything we could need. Particularly appreciated the cot and highchair, and the washing/drying facilities for soggy walking clothes! Lorna was super friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying again on Arran!

The Wee Cottage by the Ferry

LucyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Such a lovely little cottage, perfect to get away for a small family or couple, it is “wee” but the space is used so efficiently, it is so comfortable & cosy & homely. Such great value especially considering breakfast was included which you don’t come across on Airbnb much! Kevin was a great host, helpful & responsive. Nice location for coastal walks & ferries to the islands or going to Loch Lomond. Great place to bring the dogs. Beautiful views in a peaceful location. We went on a bank holiday & there weren’t many food options on the Sunday, something to be aware of as the town is quite small, but we found somewhere and it was lovely so all round very happy!

Crofters Cottage, Lyrabus Moor Croft

RuthRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a very lovely stay at Fiona and Calum’s place. The views were phenomenal and we enjoyed waking up each morning and saying hello to the sheep and the hares in the field across from us. We cooked a breakfast and a dinner at the house and the kitchen had all we needed for making a good meal. You will need to pick up oils and condiments etc. but they have lots of salt and pepper available. Overall wonderful stay with friendly hosts. Fiona offered us a list of us good taxi drivers to take us around the island. Would recommend!

Yewtree Cottage - 'The Art House' and Garden

PeterRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great small cottage as a base for exploring the Dunoon area, we had a lovely day at Benmore Gardens and a great trip over to Loch Lomond and Arachar. The cottage is compact but has everything that you need with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedroom. Top tip is to buy your tickets before getting on the ferry over from Gourock, if you’re coming that way as they charge a fortune if you buy on- board!

Picturesque Old Smiddy Cottage

TaniaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

Doonbank Cottage Bothy

VictoriaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
I had a peaceful, relaxing stay at the Bothy. It’s in a beautiful, secluded spot with a secure garden—perfect for my dog. I loved the river walk to the Brig o’ Doon, beach walks nearby, and Rozelle Estate’s Remembrance Forest and Squirrel Nutkin Trail. Chris was a warm and welcoming host, with fresh scones on arrival and delicious on site honey for sale. The bed was very comfortable as everyone said, and linens and towels were spotless. The EV charger was easy to use and a big plus. A few areas could be cleaner on arrival—crumbs on the rug and dining table and some grit / moss at the back door. Minor DIY fixes, like a clamp on the shower door and bed frame, made it feel slightly unfinished. A skylight blind would help with early morning light, so bring an eye mask if you’re sensitive to it. Overall, a charming retreat with lots of potential and a lovely host. A few small improvements would really enhance the experience.

Loch Lomond - Balmaha - 2 bedroom Cottage

JohnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Exactly as described, this accommodation is tucked away from the road yet a very walkable distance from the centre of Balmaha village. It is ideally placed for walking on the West Highland Way or for tackling either Ben Lomond or the much less challenging Conic Hill. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped, with a back garden for sitting out (weather and midges permitting). Fiona is a very friendly and helpful host.

Cottage, Quiet Rural Location near Loch Fyne

GillianRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We loved Fiona's stylish, warm, well equipped. We didn't have great weather but it didn't matter because it was such a nice place to hangout. Fiona was a really good host, warning us about possible traffic problems on the way and suggesting wet weather things to do. It's a beautiful area and we'd like to go back one day.

The Sailean Bothy, Island of Lismore

DavidRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The situation of the bothy next to the sea and stream is quite magical - this is a special place and we had a wonderful stay. Early mornings in the middle of all of the local wildlife are very special, and the chair overlooking the bay is perfect for watching the sun set. Thanks to Alison and David for making out stay so comfortable, and for great advice regarding things to see on the island.

Ideal couples base for exploring the Island

AndyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The property was amazing. Had all home comforts and was spotless. Booking and arrival arrangements were perfect. Location was great for us as enjoy the beach and hillwalking, but it is hand for all points of the island. Reserved Parking was also available across the road. We would definitely recommend staying here if going to Arran.

Ross of Mull Bunkrooms, Whole Cottage

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Bunkhouse was a surprising find in Fionnphort. Yes, the sleeping accomodation is two rooms with two double bunks, but for our group of four (two retired couples) this was fine, they were very comfortable. The house is VERY spacious with a large living/dining area, two modern, pristine bathrooms, a well appointed kitchen complete with dishwasher, and full laundry facilities. It is a ten minute walk from the village and all tourist options. It is great value for money. Rachel was delightful, proactive in communicating, and responsive to all enquiries. She gave us good information about local attractions and eating options, I would highly recommend the Bunkhouse as a great base for exploring this lovely part of Scotland.

Port Cottage 5 minutes from Glasgow Airport

PhilipRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed for 3 nights in May with our dog. The cottage is excellent and we'd certainly book again if we are in the area. It was very comfortable, clean and had lots of lovely little extras including a welcome hamper. It is well located for Glasgow and towards Loch Lomond etc, close to local amenities for food and there was immediate access to path/fields to walk our dog. While close to the motorway & airport, neither disturbed us at all.
