Beach house vacation rentals in Tamarindo Beach Costa Rica

This place was absolutely perfect for our surfing trip!! Private beach access, beautiful yard looking out to the ocean and spacious home. The hostess was responsive and communicative and very friendly and helpful if we had any questions. I hate to write this review as I don’t want anyone else to know about the place as I would like to keep it to ourselves next year. ☺️. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Absolutely a wonderful place and wonderful hosts!!

We had a wonderful time at this little beachfront property. The sunsets were unbelievable! We were visited by cats and dogs and birds. We got to watch locals enjoy the beach on the Sunday that we arrived and we were even invited to join the bonfire. It was a great place to end our vacation!

Our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) really enjoyed our stay! The house itself was very nice (white noise might be needed because of the roosters). The easy accessibility to the beach when we wanted to go there while also having an amazing pool and covered patio to relax throughout the day was perfect for what we were looking for. We enjoyed the quiet and local feel of Brasilito Beach. The campground is right there, like others have mentioned, but it was never an issue at all. We walked to Playa Conchal (liked our beach better) and checked out Playa Flamingo for a sunset one night. Vidal lives on property and was always a friendly face. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!

To say we had a fabulous stay would be an understatement. The location was perfect (not too busy, but not too far from restaurants/shopping etc) and Shawna was super helpful in all aspects of our stay including great local restaurant and excursion recommendations (local horseback riding ranch was phenomenal as were our surf instructors!). Tatiana was amazing and her cooking was delicious (highly recommend utilizing her cooking-I am still dreaming about her Arepas). We always felt safe and comfortable at the house and it was perfect for our group's two young families (kids ages 9, 8, 5, 4 and 3). The house also had easy to carry beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards and games. The living area/kitchen was a great hangout space and the outside spaces were also wonderful. So sad to have to leave but will hopefully be back in the future! Thanks for a great stay!

The views and location to the beach are absolutely incredible. This place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the open air concept. This place made our trip to Costa Rica even better. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the crowds but still be close to everything you need!!

Our stay at Jarrod’s place was incredible! Best vacation house you could ask for. Perfect location right on the beach but still super private. Having a swimming pool right on the ocean is about as good as it gets, we usually spend most of our vacation time at the beach but this house was so great we wound up spending more time by the pool. Also the house is stocked very well, everything an Airbnb/rental house should have this house has. Jarrod was very accommodating and helped us with transportation and Covid testing at the house. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Playa Negra area! We will definitely be coming back!

OBSESSED. The views, the space, the communication, the location… y’all. We’re sooooooo happy with our stay!!! We felt like kids in a candy shop exploring this house. It’s just SO beautiful. The decor and amenities inside are super thoughtful. The views are breathtaking!! We loved sitting on the porch sipping coffee, reading, etc. We loved the proximity to Father Rooster’s—a sweet little restaurant close by. It’s super tourist-friendly, but still felt authentic. Check in was smooth, after making contact with the on-site security (which we greatly appreciated!!). Communication with our host throughout the process was flawless! A couple of things to note: 1) The A/C units worked perfectly in the bedrooms; keeping the main living area cool during the heat of the day was a little tougher. But you are in Central America, after all! 2) The main bed was too soft for us. 3) Keep in mind that CR is a developing country, this house is on the edge of the neighborhood, and CR driving is nutty!

We had a wonderful stay at Mono Feliz! The villa had everything we needed to have a relaxing, peaceful stay in Costa Rica. The beach, beach club, shops, restaurants, and town were all in walking distance. After enjoying the day with all the area had to offer, it was especially nice to come back to the villa to dip in the pool. Hosts, Jeff and Gina, were attentive to our needs along with onsite management, Justin. Pura Vida!

This house was absolutely incredible even better than the pictures! We stayed at the house for nine days and 2 families total. It was the perfect place to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The beds were so comfy, top of the line kitchen, the most gorgeous outdoor kitchen, etc etc! I could go on and on. We LOVED the outdoor pool area and the location was amazing. We hope to be back one day! Jessica was super responsive and a wonderful host. Pura Vida!

The house is spectacular, spacious and super modern. The street is unpaved and it takes a long time to get to the main road. The nearby beaches are very rocky, so we were able to take advantage of the pool and home amenities.

We had an absolutely amazing stay here! The villa was inside a gated community and the grounds as well as the pool area were very well maintained. The villa itself was spectacular! It was very bright, clean and modern. It was such a comfortable space to relax and unwind after exploring the beaches of Guanacaste. The kitchen came equipped with everything you needed to prepare a meal (spices,cookware, utensils, etc.) and there quite a few tasty restaurants on or near the beach a few minutes drive away. Tamarindo was about a 25 minute drive. We are a family of four and would not hesitate to stay here again… absolute stellar stay!

This is truly a one of a kind (maybe even lifetime!) experience of a place to stay. Where else can you walk out of the pool and directly into the kitchen, living room or dining room? And get fresh air and breezes right into the house? We were a little worried that without AC in the main part of the house it would be uncomfortably hot. It was not an issue at all. Somehow the breezes blow in, the fans kept the air moving, and it felt so nice to hear the birds and not be stuck inside! It was also a very walkable 10-15 min into town, but note that Costa Rica is not big on sidewalks, so you do need to contend with traffic, scooters, and other walkers. But everyone does it, and makes you feel like a local! Down on the street is a place called Zolu, that makes amazing made to order food. You will sit outside and wait a bit but it was the best food we had and very reasonably priced.

Hazel’s place was absolutely perfect for our family. Our two boys loved having the pool and we were at the beach within five minutes! The house has everything you could need for your time there. It was wonderful having the beach buggy and equipment to make a fun day at the beach even better. The location is great, there are several restaurants nearby, and our surf lesson with the surf school was excellent. We hope to be back in the future!

Recent stay with my son and his partner whilst travelling around Costa Rica, it was a little piece of paradise, the accommodation was very comfortable for all of us, the kitchen was well equiped, the beach towels were a plus for us to use at the pool and like the bathroom towels were lovely and soft. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning and fans were great as it was very hot during our stay, the pool was a big bonus and we were able to chill and relax listening to the sounds of the birds. We were able to walk to both the local beaches which was good, but needed the 4 x 4 to access the local restaurants and further beaches. We would definitely recommend this very secure property.

Great quiet location, but a little far from good options for food. A car is definitely necessary if you are going to eat out. We just bought food at the local market and brought it back to cook. It was very quiet and we had monkeys right outside and had fun watching them every morning and afternoon. Ocotal beach is just a 2 minute walk away! Would stay again!

The property is meticulously maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant stay. One of the best features is its prime location. Just a few steps away, you'll find yourself at a beautiful beach, perfect for morning strolls or sunset views. The nearby seafood markets are a delight, offering fresh catches daily that you can enjoy at the local restaurants or cook yourself. Speaking of restaurants, there are plenty of dining options within short distance, catering to all tastes and preferences. Additionally, the area is bustling with activities and attractions. Whether you're into water sports, wildlife viewing, or simply exploring the nature or local culture, there's always something to do.

We had a great stay at Casa Tranquilla. Katherine and Willie were very responsive to our needs. The house was as described. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs under the shade by the pool. The wildlife was so fun -- we did see the monkeys pass by a few times. Like us, they seemed happy about the location. We stayed for 12 days, and I could work remotely during the week. The wifi in the house was strong enough for video calls. That said, Costa Rica has intermittent outages, and we experienced some brief loss of power and internet access a couple of times. It wasn't a surprise and didn't last long. If you haven't been to Costa Rica before, be aware that there aren't sidewalks in this area. The walk to town and the beach is along the roadside and on dirt trails. It's not a big deal and everything felt very close and safe, but it was helpful for us to know that going in. If you're looking for the beach, find the trail :) Thank you Katherine and Willie for the excellent stay!

Our interactions started before we arrived. Rebecca kindly agreed to show the property to our friends before we booked - we were going to stay for over a month. The place checked out 100%. We also asked for increased internet speed and a desk & chair so we could work remotely. Both requests were accommodated immediately. Check in was super smooth and the house was clean and exactly as posted. Like so many areas of Costa Rica, there are dirt roads and potholes. Don't expect smooth and dust-free roads, they don't exist in CR, but that's also the beauty. After waking each morning, I immediately headed to the rooftop deck with my coffee to take in the sounds and views of Coco. The birds, chickens, roosters, and dogs all made for a great morning welcome. The beach is 3-4 minutes down the road and Pacifico Beach Club is right there. We had a golf cart to get around, but most things are within walking distance. Playas del Coco is a beautiful little town, we will be back!

Third time staying at Felipe’s. That should say enough! Love the house, proximity to the beach and the recent upgrades made it even better. Will be back!

Hello! My name is Esteban and I'm a wheelchair user. Ross's house was perfect for our stay, 🙌🏻 with ample space to walk freely with the wheelchair and even with very spacious bathrooms! As a wheelchair user, I didn't have any problems anywhere in the place! The place is just as you see it in the photos, and Playa Avellana is paradise on earth! I'll definitely stay here and with Ross again 👌🏼

I liked Lot 99. The accommodations in the house were perfect. I will return as soon as possible and plan on staying there the rest of my visits to Costa Rica. The use of the garage was wonderful and easy to unload my groceries from the store. this villa had no stairs and had hand railing to go into the pool, which was wonderful for me. I stayed in Pacifico the last eight years at different places. I find this place to be the best.

Our family had a great time in Potrero. The property was exactly as expected. The kitchen was well stocked and we made many meals there. The backyard was perfect for relaxing. The house was very spacious. We enjoyed the small town feel of Potrero and walked to the beach. Thanks for sharing your beautiful house with our family!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was very comfortable and spacious for our group of 11. The pool and outdoor lounge area were perfect for relaxing, and the location was great—close to restaurants, with one beach within walking distance and others just a short drive away. The gated property and alarm system made us feel very safe. Highly recommend for a fun and stress-free getaway!
