Monthly Rentals in Tama River

A simple flat with 4 double bed in 2 separate room. Tiny but enough. There is kitchenware you can use for cooking but no cooking ingredient so if you want to make some food bring everything with you. It’s very close to town or cafes so everything is nearby. Host is very communicative and friendly. We stay for the night after visiting Studio Ghibli and Hakone. It was a good stopover. Great place to stay! We stayed 7 days and got to see more of the west side of Tokyo! However if you are looking for a place close to Tokyo centre i would suggest something closer. This place had everything we needed!

I stayed here for a month while working in Tokyo — I only needed to be most central a few days a week, so was happy to be based in a smaller, more local neighbourhood for the majority of my time. There's everything I needed locally, & Tachikawa was nearby for more hardcore shopping. The nearest train stations are quite a walk away, so I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to commute far or want to be elsewhere most days. The flat itself is very well kept & furnished with nice gadgets to make daily life comfortable (e.g. electric blanket .. lifesaver). The host was kind, responsive & helpful — I knew that if I needed anything, she would help. I felt looked after & also had privacy. The internet worked well, the bathroom great. There was everything I needed to cook most meals in the kitchen. Supermarkets 10-15 mins walk away. Gym & library 15-20 mins away. I hope to return to Kunitachi next time I'm working in the city.

The room was exactly as described, the host super nice and flexible. The room is above a really nice bar, and surprisingly there is no noise at all! However, the room is pretty far from the center, around 45 mins from Shinjuku. So it depends on what you're looking for!
