Vacation rentals in Tākaka

We stayed here with our family of 5. What a beautiful place to stay. Clean, comfortable beds with great linen. Amazing views. Value for money compared to others was well worth it. Large tv came in handy for our wet weekend. Short stroll to the beach and over to Kaiteriteri shops. Brent and Annette were the best hosts, so quick on responding to any questions I had and so informative. They go above and beyond to make your stay special.

This was our second stay, and we'll absolutely be visiting again! The location is just so stunning and peaceful - surrounded by native bush, with the sounds of the river and birdsong. It feels very private and like you're off in your own world, but is just a short drive from both Collingwood and Tākaka. The lovely wee stone cottage is fully equipped and has absolutely everything you could need, so you feel right at home. Eveything was very clean, tidy, and felt fresh. And the fireplace is amazing! Warms up the whole house so quickly and is just so cosy. So well worth a visit.

We have stayed at the caboose many times and it’s our favourite place to stay in the bay, Beautiful. Serene. Romantic. We never want to leave but always look forward to returning.

Dream Catcher is much more than a place to rest your head. It’s a rare chance to reevaluate the whole way we live. The abode itself is warm and cosy but also natural and sculptural. The very short walks outside to the kitchen, bathroom, and composting toilets connect one to the beautiful natural surroundings, the sounds and sensations of nature. Staying here has made us reconsider our current way of living. Other than that, it’s also the perfect place from which to explore the surrounding Golden Bay & Able Tasman regions. The patch of mature native forest right near their place is incredible and worth the trip all on its own. Add to that all the nearby attractions and one could be occupied for weeks. We did this as nights 5 & 6 of a 7 night Able Tasman walk (Coastal Track plus Inland Track) and really enjoyed the two nights of luxury included in our tramping trip without breaking the mood of a week in the out of doors. That’s not for everyone but it was great for us.

Beautiful envious place - these people are living the dream. Beautifully welcoming- amazing beach - the seperate bathroom wasn’t a bother at all. Bella the dog was soooo cute.

We had a wonderful stay at Ligar Bay. The accommodation was perfect and the location next to the lagoon was very memorable. The kids loved taking out the kayaks at high tide and sleeping in the separate pod. The bach had everything we needed. Thank you so much.

Nice little place for a short stay, great base to explore the local surroundings and has everything you need. Jonny and his family were friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Perfect place, met our needs, very peaceful. Great to have the fruit and eggs from the garden and chickens.

Beautiful home, we arrived as the sun was shining through the kitchen window and it was truly beautiful with the wooden interior. Loved that dogs were welcome, this meant we could actually take a much needed holiday and bring them with us. Was clean and well presented, super private amongst the greenery. Lovely host, made sure we were looked after. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area! We will be back again. Thank you so much!!
