Definitely one of the best airbnb I stayed in ! Traditional, clean, roomy, well located. I would definitely come back as soon as I will be around. Nagahama is a great city and deserves a few days on site. I cannot think of a better place than Masahiro’s to stay and enjoy a slower pace.

An inn located right next to Ichinotori, which was relocated from Ise Jingu Shrine.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough the kind of stay that turns a stopover into a destination. The home itself is immaculate, with a level of cleanliness and attention to detail that made it feel brand new. Everything is in perfect condition, from the linens to the fixtures. The garage parking was a rare and welcome feature, especially for travelers with bikes or cars, and the hot shower was powerful and rejuvenating after a day out. Sleep was completely undisturbed, just mountain air and silence. What truly elevates this stay is its location in Seki, a stunningly preserved Edo-period village. At night, the ambiance is magical — softly lit streets, peaceful surroundings, and a few hidden gem cafés and eateries within walking distance. You feel like you've stepped into a historic film set, but with modern comforts. If you're active, there's much more here than expected: excellent hiking, and just minutes away, a 50-meter swimming pool that’s perfect

Gorgeous Japanese traditional house (2-10ppl)

JessRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is a lovely traditional home in a small, quiet town, attractive to stroll around and admire. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked for a night or two with friends and/or family. It suited our group of five adults and two 12-year-olds extremely well. The fact that it has so many bedrooms is a significant advantage for groups that don't all want to share the same sleeping space, as is often the case at Japanese Airbnbs. The friendly hosts were waiting for us at check-in and gave us an extremely detailed tour and explanation of the property. There are not many services within walking distance, so we were glad we rented a car. We cooked dinner and breakfast, and found many useful condiments and spices in the kitchen. Really, the only disadvantage of this home is that it is rather expensive, but the experience of staying there is unique, making it worth the cost. Airbnb prices in general seem to be rising, so it is not dissimilar to others like it.
