Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Swellendam

This is already our fourth time staying in Rigby's beautiful house. It is wonderfully located on the golf course, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It's a great starting point for many activities. Rigby and Jean-André are always easily reachable. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Our booking in Barrydale fell through and we needed something quickquick. Penny accepted our reservation request within minutes and before we knew it, we were already carrying our bags into the cottage. We have a toddler and the stairs make it a bit tricky, but by moving some furniture around, this was easily taken care of. Can recommend.

Gorgeous house on a quiet road in Greyton. We had a lovely weekend away with friends here and would happily recommend it to other who were seeking somewhere spacious and upmarket to get away with family or friends Xx

This place is made to calm down and relax. It‘s far out the city and around 1km from the host‘s farm. There is no electricity in the house but candles and lamps… and a very nice hot tube. Heleen, our super friendly host, prepared hot water when we arrived, gave us a lot of useful recommendations around this place and was helpful for everything we needed. There‘s almost no light pollution allowing a nice and clear sky full of stars! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come again! Thanks a lot!

Beeindruckende Gegend und wunderschönes Haus. Wenn man etwas vergessen hat, kann man die wichtigen Dinge vor Ort im Shop kaufen (z.B. Streichhölzer, Holz, Kaffee). Es fehlte nur ein Schürhaken für den Ofen. Ansonsten ist die Unterkunft super ausgestattet. Wir haben einen Game Drive dazu gebucht. Das war ein tolles Erlebnis.

It completely exceeded our expectations! Absolutely stunning place with absolutely everything that you need. With just a short drive out of Cape Town, we felt as if we were miles away from city life. Just an amazing break away and will 100% be going back.

We would have loved to stay longer in this charming place, loved the quirky decor and comfortable beds. The dinner recommendations were extremely helpful and we had a delicious dinner

Alles bestens. Blitzsauberes, modern und funktional eingerichtetes Apartment mit allem was man braucht. Sehr nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeber (wohnen nebenan). Leckerer Honig aus eigener Produktion :) Gute Lage, um nach Cape Agulhas oder De Hoop NR zu fahren, ansonsten ist für Touristen in Bredasdorp weniger geboten. Für Selbstversorger die wesentlichen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einige Restaurants, Pizzeria etc. vorhanden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

We had a great stay at Connie s cottages. Check in was smooth and friendly Burgert has been very helpful with recommendations especially restaurants best to book well in advance. The place is very central we walked everywhere we wanted to go. The place was clean. Good linen on the King size bed. We left satisfied

We had a great stay in Montagu. Kotie was very helpful and pointed out a few activities and restaurants that we could do and go to. the cottage was clean and well equipped.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definately book here again. The hosts were fantastic and very gracious.

I really enjoyed the clean space, enough towels, crisp bedding. Carla was generous by leaving fruit and sparkling grape juice as well as coffee pods. The WiFi can be improved but I think the whole of Montagu sometimes has a problem. We’ll definitely come back.

Charming cozy House in the Middle of nowhere. If you have clear skies (unfortunately I hadn’t) you probably have a fantastic view on the Stars. Located only a 15 min drive from De Hoop Nature Reserve. Mattie even prepared super nice Dinner and Breakfast and was always responsive and had good tips (e.g taking a Ferry with the car) for shortcuts. I had a Suzuki Swift (Small car) and it was absolutely fine to take the never ending gravel road!

Firstly thank you to Theresa who welcomed us warmly to what was an altogether too short a stay! Very peaceful and safe place. We sampled both the little restaurant at the beach and the restaurant on the complex. Slightly limited for vegetarians but hubby had the best steak ever apparently! Views were incredible and so so peaceful. Shame we had to leave so early the next morning….we’ll be back!

Room was perfectly fine, we arrived late in the evening and left the next day, Esther was very nice and we liked the little guarding Dog.

Friendly, accommodating and great host. The place offered more than what I need, was a business stay, and it was just right.
