Cabin vacation rentals in Sussex

My husband and I enjoy spending time together at different airbnbs, so we have some experience with great stays! We loved our staycation at Cheryl’s cottage! She has thought of everything you may need during your stay! She was very accommodating and helped decorate for my husband’s birthday 🎉 the hot tub was relaxing but the sound of the creek running really elevated it! The cabin was clean and organized, lots of games/activities for adults and children. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful, this was my second time staying at one of Jeff’s cottages but first time I had rented myself for a group of girls. Everyone loved it! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, everything we needed and more. Was super clean and tidy. Just the cozy vibe we were going for. Jeff was super responsive to all messages anytime I had a question, and very friendly and respectful. Hopefully will be staying again soon, next time with my family and our side by side as I read that there are bike trails nearby. Will always recommend this place to anyone nearby, beautiful place! Thank you for your hospitality Jeff!

This place was just a gem!! Exactly what we were looking for. It rained the whole weekend but still was able to watch the river and nature full view from inside. The hot tub was great no matter the weather. Would have been beautiful to have a fire beside the river but next time. Perfect place to unwind!!

This was the perfect little getaway and so peaceful. It was cozy, spotless and private. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and the inside of the cabin was thought out carefully in detail and decorated so cozy! My favourite part was sitting outside in the screened in porch relaxing in the comfortable chairs provided while listening to the leaves falling around us and wind blowing through the trees so peacefully. The bed was extra comfortable too. Stacey & Roland were great hosts and I will definitely be back! They even left a birthday card for me which was so thoughtful! Thanks again for having us! ♥️

It was a beautiful and cozy spot. Very clean, and close to everything. Great restaurants near by and a local little bar named mollys with live music. I recommend these cabins to anyone.

Our first word the moment we stepped into the cabin was: "wow!" We were just looking for an intimate way of celebrating my son's birthday, we didn't know we were in for a treat. This place is the epitome of 'home away from home.' Everything about it was well-thought of. Wether one is looking to take a break out of daily routine or craving a relaxing and refreshing weekend getaway, this is a perfect place to be. The hosts were very accommodating and made their presence felt in the smallest of details. They made sure we have everything we need and we are well taken care of without having to be there physically. Upon checking out, we felt like it was a very short stay and we end up wanting to come back rightaway. This place is worth every cent and definitely worth the wait.

We had such a great time, they have so much to offer, a hot tub, fire pit, propane seating under a gazebo, trampoline and a beautiful open spacious cottage. It rained a bit so we were not able to use the fire pit, but we used the propane pit under the gazebo which was cozy and perfect.

Beautiful, well laid out cottage. All the amenities are included and more! The cottage is clean, comfortable, well decorated and organized. Peaceful location! Have a fire by the riverfront, kayak on the river or simply enjoy the lovely view from the large deck while BBQ’ing or relaxing in the clean hot tub! We enjoyed the property very much, and would highly recommend!

Me and my GF stayed here for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we felt we made the right choice booking this beautifully located cabin by the lake. Everything was as described. Tina was an exceptional host who made us feel welcomed. This little slice of paradise was secluded enough to offer peace and quiet yet close enough to wolfville and surrounding areas to go out and enjoy some nice food at the local restaurants. Id highly recommend this spot if youre looking for a nice relaxing weekend by the lake to kick back and unwind.

Fun rustic cottage with a wood stove. Loved spending time with friends by the fire. Host was well prepared, communicated clearly and quickly. Everything we saw in photos was accurate. Pleased with our choice and would go again for sure.

The cabin we stayed in was quiet and comfortable. The view from the front covered porch was stunning. Everything was exactly as described and the host went out of her way to give us accurate directions and places to stop. She was very good to communicate and make our stay very easy. I would reccomend both the cabin and the host to anyone. The location was quiet and remote, but with plenty of things to do nearby. A must see is the town of Alma, which is stunning and has plenty of restaurants to pick from. I reccomend the Octopuses Garden and the Holy Whale Brewery.

We had a great weekend warming up by the wood stove inside and the fire pit outside. We checked out a few of the nearby hiking trails with our dog and spent time relaxing, cooking, listening to old records and playing classic video games. It was beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. We decided to even stay an extra night. Leanne was a great host with excellent communication. We would go back again in a heartbeat! Our stay was amazing! We were new to the area, but staying at Blaire’s place made us feel like we were home. The only thing we wish was different was that we could have stayed longer!

Very easy to talk too place felt like home!! Eveything you might have forgotten was there to use.

Lovely place only small thing i could comment on is the fire wood which wouldnt burn. As an avid camper i brought my own kindling but couldnt make a fire with what was there. The picture shows a stack of wood under the deck which wasnt there . Not an issue really as it was very hot anyway.

Gayle was so accommodating letting us book last minute to celebrate our first anniversary at Paws Crossing. My partner and I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful rustic cabin nestled in the forest. The serene surroundings and the soothing sounds of nature made for the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The warm wood-burning fireplace created a cozy atmosphere that we absolutely loved. Interacting with the friendly farm animals - Betty, Ted and Sally was one of the highlights of our experience. Our host, Gayle, was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature! We are looking forward to returning in the summer time if Gayle would be so kind as to host us again. Exploring the hiking trails (Trans Canada trail) and private swimming pond in the warm weather would be amazing! P.S This is a great bang for your buck!!

Great location and spot, I would love to go back again sometime. It is a place that you need to go for about 2-3 days. It was raining 🌧️ the whole time I was there but still nice.

Was a great “ off grid” location that had everything you needed for a weekend surrounded by nature. Camp was plenty big with huge screened in porch area.
