Bungalow vacation rentals in Susquehanna River

The lakehouse was clean and very comfortable. It was so cozy using the pellet stove for heat and the house has a lot of natural light. I felt very relaxed staying here and slept well at night. The views of the lake are stunning, especially down at the dock. Our kids enjoyed going down to watch the sun rise and we enjoyed a campfire one evening as a family. Everything you need to know is clearly stated beforehand (like there being a lot of steep steps to get down to the lake and needing to bring your own drinking water), so there are no surprises. I appreciate the hosts providing so much important information up front so we didn’t have any issues or questions during our stay. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer.

You will be surprised to be able to see the sunrise from your bedroom, have cocktails on a little beach on the brackish Shrewsbury River with windsurfers trying their luck, walk to Bahr's seafood resto or Proving Ground tavern with good beer and food and views -- great location and quiet at night and interesting to watch clammers ride out in their little boats in the morning.

Great communication & beautiful stay! We loved the cozy atmosphere and lake views. <10 minute drive to “downtown” Ithaca with lots of little shops, great restaurants, and hikes. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed at Anchors Away with our family in July. We loved it so much we came back to celebrate our anniversary in September. There are so many reasons to love this home.....starting with Mike and Danielle being great hosts~everything is organized and clearly communicated. The house is charming and thoughtfully decorated. It is functional in every way. We cooked or grilled each night and ate dinner on the huge porch overlooking the lake. We kayaked (with kayaks provided in their shed) each morning and ended our evening with a campfire on the lake. Rent this one! You will be so happy you did.

Really enjoyed our stay at Maureen's place. The location could not be better. A quick walk to the beach and Bay Village which is loaded with shops, restaurants and fudge !! The house was exactly as described in the listing, super clean and comfortable. Kitchen was easy to use and centrally located. The outdoor shower was our favorite to wash off the sand or have a quite refresh from sunning on the deck. The deck was a good size too. Maureen gave us some suggestions for restaurants and we did check out the Blue Whale and had a great time. Crowded, but great food and really good service (their Key Lime Pie - wow). Would definitely stay here again next time we're in LBI. Can't beat the location.

My husband and I were in town for a music festival and this was the perfect home base for us! It’s a bit small but was perfect for two of us and you can’t beat the location! Similar to other reviews, not having linens already there is kind of a pain - we borrowed sheets and towels from family because it was too much to travel with but then had to make sure we had time to wash and dry them before checking out and giving them back. Regardless, we would stay here again!

Another Amazing Stay! This was my second time staying at Alicia’s wonderful place, and it was just as perfect as the first! The location is unbeatable, the space is always clean and welcoming, and Alicia is such a thoughtful and responsive host. I’m already looking forward to making this a yearly tradition. We had a wonderful stay here. living space was larger than expected. 3 bedrooms on main floor was great for guests who have trouble with steps. Clean, comfortable, very private.

Great stay! Only thing was there were supposed to be enough beach tags for our stay, but there weren’t quite enough. Would definitely stay again!

This was our second time staying here! Nikki is amazing, and her place is beautiful! We love the hot tub, fire pit, and especially the fenced in yard for our Border Collie! The house was super clean, and Nikki responds very quickly with all communication. We can't wait to stay again next year!

David’s bungalow was the perfect place to relax . If you’re looking for a peaceful space to call your own for a few days , this is it . David’s bungalow is nestled between the bay and ocean , both within a short walks distance . There are two quaint rocking Adirondack chairs on the porch , perfect for unwinding . Inside is a super comfy living room , with an awesome large couch for lounging . The kitchen was adorable and extremely clean . The bunk beds were our favorite place to sleep . We met David on the way out , extremely kind. You won’t regret booking .

We had such a great time at the Bungalow! Even with snow and rain it was beautiful!! We really enjoyed the wood burning stove and view of the river. Kristi was helpful, kind, and responded quickly! Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Susan was absolutely fantastic.. very attentive and quick to respond. I planned this weekend getaway as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. Susan was kind enough to leave a birthday cupcake and card for my wife on the desk.. such a nice touch to start her birthday and our peaceful weekend! She also supplied a variety of treats and drinks for us to enjoy.. the place was clean and cozy.. the sofas was comfortable and so was the bed.. we arrived after dark so Susan left the light on for us👍. In the morning we were able to see the beautiful surroundings outside. The property is beautiful. I was able to see what I assumed was a beaver swimming in the creek. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook.. she even supplied us with delicious coffee for the coffee maker. We had an absolutely wonderful weekend and would highly recommend anyone to book a stay here.. Susan is a wonderful host and she made us feel welcomed in her beautiful home. Thanks again Susan!

We booked this house last minute due to a family emergency. Michelle was very accommodating and helpful. Her place is very clean and had everything we needed.

Not only staying here was a relaxing and restorative experience, but Molly was a fantastic and a communicative host! The house is exactly as described and everything was stocked (the shower products were A+). Cooked some amazing meals, unplugged and caught up on some reading, and what a perfect place to do so! Especially loved Charlie and Merv, such adorable little visitors! The house felt remote and private enough but wasn’t too off the beaten path, which made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. I can’t wait to visit again!!
