The Superhost
Relief Fund

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has devastated the travel industry, and we know hosts like you are hurting. Because communities support each other in times like these, Airbnb's employees have donated $1 million from their own pockets to kickstart a fund for hosts struggling to make ends meet. Airbnb's founders are also personally contributing $9 million—in addition to another $7 million from investors—for a total of $17 million. We're here to help you weather the storm, and we'll get through it together.

We want to support as many hosts as we can, but we also want that support to be meaningful. Airbnb will be prioritizing invitations for hosts based on a number of reasons, including how long they've been a Superhost and how badly their earnings have been impacted, at its sole discretion. We expect to extend all invitations by the end of May 2020.

Airbnb invites eligible hosts to apply

Airbnb reviews applications and provides grants

Relief grants are sent to hosts via their usual payout method

We’ll email invitations to a few thousand hosts every week through the end of May. Airbnb will be prioritizing invitations for hosts based on a number of reasons, including how long they've been a Superhost and how badly their earnings have been impacted, at its sole discretion.
We’ll review and respond to all applications from the hosts who received an invitation. For each approved application, a relief grant of up to $5,000 USD will be awarded within 2 weeks.
This grant comes with no strings attached—hosts won’t need to repay it and can use it however they need.
