We have had an amazing time here. Not only is the bird cabin the cutest and most romantic little hide away spot, but our hosts were the most friendly and welcoming we ever encountered. We are determined to return in the near future! And eating in the Belfry kitchen is a must. We have had the best candle light dinner here as well as breakfast with delicious fresh bread and pastries.

Wow, what an incredible stay! Our time in the Karoo was truly unforgettable. The views were simply breathtaking.The accommodation was comfortable and perfectly situated to take in the stunning scenery. We can't wait to go back and experience it all again. Our host made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed thank you Oom Pieter!!! Lovely fireplace inside.

If you`re waiting to exhale...then this is the perfect spot for you...nestled at the foot of the mountain, there`s a lovely wooden cottage waiting for you. Sit outside under the veranda, breathe in the clean fresh air, listen to the silence and let yourself return to centre. This is a great overnight stay but I recommend it if you are in need of some peace and quiet to reflect and introspect. Your host is very friendly, helpful and attentive. A great find

We really enjoyed the stay at Michael's place. The communication was easy and you can have a nice chat with Michael. We can really recommend the stay at Steytlerville.

We were a group of ten and rented out the bush camp for self catering. We had an amazing time. The rooms and the kitchen / dining area are beautiful and very well equipped. The 2 staff members who were available at the camp, Francis and Mitchell, were fantastic. They cleaned and attended to all our needs. We were even treated to some home made roosterkoek. We essentially had the entire reserve to ourselves, so we went jogging, hiking and game driving without seeing another soul. The pool was great for cooling off in the middle of the day. It is such a beautiful place and you can truly relax there. Great value for money. We hope to be back soon!

Suenette is an amazing host. With Great communication and a warm welcome, we felt right at home. If you are looking for a peaceful stay to break away from the city noise, this is the place. The cottages are cute and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. We enjoyed the details of items all over the spaces and garden. Highly recommend. Baie Dankie vir die lekker kuier!

Words cannot express how beautiful this little gem is... Seeped in history and elegant farm style... We have stayed in many beautiful places in our lives and this one ranks right at the top of the list.... Amazing attention to detail...thoughful touches everywhere... It was like stepping back in time... If you need to heal your soul... Then this is the place for you... Amazing dog children and hosts that felt like family... Thank you Thomas and Aunty Gertjie for all the kindness and not forgetting the melktert an absolute treat... We definitely will be back!!!!

what amazing hosts and what an amazing place . we were lucky enough to have booked 2 nights in the Treehouse. it was a unique experience to spend time in the tranquil surroundings of Speekhoutfarm in Baviaanskloof. Paulien made us an amazing dinner both nights, true home cooking! if you go to SA make sure you dont miss this incredible.place!

We absolutely loved our weekend away at Suikerbossie, from the incredible views of the rolling hills and mountains from the patio to the thoughtful touches inside the cottage! My favourite was preparing meals in the farm style kitchen and soaking in the outdoor tub watching the sunset while listening to the quiet sounds of nature. We didn’t miss not having electricity at all…the cottage was so cosy at night in the glow of candlelight. Suikerbossie is the perfect escape from the hustle of city life. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We can’t wait to visit again.
