Whare manu is a private, self contained boutique cottage that is solar powered. Set back into native bush with views of the sea and beach, which is only a minutes stroll away. Watch the Tui's and Bellbirds feed on the sculpted bird feeder right on the deck. Designed for couples to relax, unwind and enjoy. No children please. Te Whare Poutama - Bluff's Art Deco Gem!

This Art Deco inspired home is a Bluff landmark. Built by the Arnett family in the 1940s, it is named "Poutama" after the Tītī Island where they went muttonbirding. The home has three bedrooms and an open plan lounge, dining-nook and kitchen. North facing, it offers sun-drenched views of Bluff's waterfront, especially from its large sunroom that contains one of two work spaces. A two minute walk to a well-stocked dairy, it is a great base from which to enjoy Bluff or visit Stewart Island.

The Garden room

The Garden room is in a quiet area of Bluff overlooking the harbour. The property has 3 accommodation areas each with private access. The Garden room is on the ground floor with sliding door access. The garden is a sun trap, but there is a heat pump for cold nights too. The accomodation has a driveway for parking (this is shared with the other accommo), but there is plenty of safe parking on the street. The ferry terminal (500m) and supermarket (400m) are a short walk away.

Enjoy a night in this rural setting, surrounded by animals. In your own space and also being so close to town. Attached to a newly built shed is this self contained unit. Very quiet location with a welcome to overseas and New Zealand visitors. Families welcome but parents are asked to remember that although the road has little traffic, the property is not fenced. We have the greatest sea views, plenty of land and pelagic birds to spot with many simple and more challenging walks available, very like New Zealand used to be. Friendly but not intrusive people, helpful house manager available.
