Chalet vacation rentals in Steenwijkerland

We had a very nice stay at Henk & Trea's place. The place had everything we needed for a relaxing few days and was just right for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The surroundings are very beautiful and thanks to the private terrace overlooking nature all around, it was easy to start the day in the morning and watch deer with luck. The chalet is really very lovingly decorated and cozy. That's why it wasn't bad that we weren't lucky with the weather. Henk was very accommodating, helpful, and always available. All in all we had a very nice holiday and definitely recommend the place! Thank you for everything :)

Beautiful cottage in a great beautiful area! We had beautiful days in this beautiful cottage with particularly beautiful garden. There is much to do in the surrounding area, weather or no weather. We walked wonderfully in the woods, enjoyed the birds in the garden, the sheep herds in the neighborhood and the zoo in Emmen. The cottage was cozy and equipped with every comfort, the beds excellent. Also a very nice and attentive contact with the host. So highly recommended, this gem!

Marco's chalet is a small, but wonderful place. It's situated directly behind a private marina, in the first row of a settlement of similar chalets. The neighborhood is very quiet, allowing for relaxing on the terrace any time of the day. Nearby a secure bathing area for little kids, with a small sandy beach. We did some excursions to Sneek (a middle-sized town, ~25 minutes) and small villages at the shore of the ijsselmeer (eg. Stavoren, Hindeloopen, each ~25 minutes), which were each totally worth it. Super picturesque! and some nice restaurants, too. We can highly recommend renting Marco's place if you'd like to have a restful couple of days!

Amazing location! What a view! The hosting family was so sweet! I have nothing other than the best to say! Cant wait to come back!

Nice little cozy stay. Views of the chickens and 20 minutes walking distance to the Shakespeare theater.

I found everything 100%, nothing was missing in the apartment! The place and hostess are very recommend!

First, I would like to list the many positive things. Anneke and Frans are extremely friendly, helpful and respond very quickly. So communication was great. They even put a small guest gift for us. The house also includes two bikes we could use. We smaller tours have been sufficient for this. The living room in the house is very spacious, the armchairs are very comfortable, the kitchen is super equipped. Also the bedroom offers enough storage space and the bed is comfortable. Outside is a large patio table and chairs. It's a great place to eat. There is also a small grill. The environment is very quiet and close to nature. You definitely have your peace. The nearest supermarkets are within easy reach by bike or by car. There is a small swimming lake and an outdoor swimming pool, in Noordwolde Noord also some snacks and shops. There is also a small forest nearby where you can walk the dog or go jogging, for example. Now two small negative points. If it is very warm outside (>28 degrees) unfortunately it gets very warm in the house and it only cools down very slowly at night. Now you're out in the best weather anyway. The bathroom is very small and a bit outdated. We would recommend a modernization here. Especially the sink was super small. On the whole, a very nice place to stay in the middle of nature. We had a great stay.

It has been more than a wonderful vacation, the host is nice and cooperative , the chalet is equipped with everything a person may need, the furniture is new , the residents of the neighboring areas are very friendly, the neighboring beaches are clean and family-friendly , I strongly advise. Ich war ein wunderbarerer Urlaub, der Gastgeber ist schön und hilfsbereit, das Chalet ist mit allem ausgestattet, was die Person braucht, neue Möbel, benachbarte Bewohner sehrhr freundliche, ich empfehle dringend.

Very nice chalet in a quiet location on the campsite. Cozily furnished and there is everything you need. Only the children's bedroom is very compact.

We had a nice vacation at Jurriaans Chalet. Although it's not very big it did feel remarkably spacious inside and had everything we needed (Jurriaan had told us in advance the washing machines were not available anymore). The area was very quiet and close to nature. My daughter enjoyed being visited by the chickens. Jurriaan was always easy to reach if we had any questions.

Our stay at the boathouse in Lemmer was just amazing! The location right on the water was fantastic, and the house itself was perfectly equipped – there was nothing missing. Particularly noteworthy is the incredibly friendly host, who warmly welcomed us and made our stay an unforgettable experience. We felt comfortable from the beginning and were able to enjoy the week to the fullest. Everything was perfectly organized, clean and cozy. We highly recommend this special experience and would be happy to come back!

It was a very nice and relaxing holiday with an excellent host! We felt right at home. Also super recommended with dog. Very nice walks in a nearby forest possible. Pieter and his wife are incredibly friendly and helpful people who care about the well-being of their guests. The house has everything needed and is very clean with great views. The tours with the rented boat were also exceptional. We are absolutely thrilled and happy to come back! Best regards to Holland!

Dimitri's large chalet with large terrace is as indicated in the advertisement very nicely furnished, spacious and well located (quiet holiday home settlement in the private port of Elahuizen) and is ideal for a relaxing time for two. The chalet is new, the check-in preparation was perfect and Dimitri is always striving to answer all questions and wishes directly and ensure a good stay, even during the stay. The area is ideal for cycling tours, water sports of all kinds and for excursions to the small Frisian villages in the area. Important note. Unfortunately, there are many spiders in the entire area (due to the lake location), but the chalet is fully equipped with fly screens and everything is great inside. We will be happy to come back any time.
