Vacation rentals in Stean

Jenny and jonathon home was fantastic very warm and homely. It was great to watch the barn owl also we saw a deer woodpecker and lots of pheasant. The was lots to do just a short drive away from Ripon and the Yorkshire dales. I could not had a more beautiful birthday break. Would love to stay there again hopefully soon Duncan and Marianne.

We had a wonderful week at How Stean Cottage celebrating my Dad's 80th birthday. There were 12 of us across 3 generations and the house was perfect for us all - little people doing the house jigsaw puzzles on the table in one of the lounges, someone playing the piano in the piano room, big people chatting around the kitchen table, and some hiding in the main lounge, sat by the woodburner, reading a book borrowed from the brilliant selection on the shelves. The house is warm and welcoming - every room is well thought out with great colours and pictures on the walls. The bathrooms were spotless, great water pressure and heaps of towels. The beds are big and comfortable with feather pillows and duvets - we were all reluctant to go home! The kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of plates and glasses - we had a few extra people over for dinner one night and were easily able to cater for them. The surroundings are beautiful with many lovely walks right from the front door.

Dave and Janet were fabulous hosts. We felt so welcome right away with the incredible welcome package. The cottage is so cozy and peaceful, perfect for a getaway to the Dales. The bed was comfy, and the linen and towels were super soft. Dave gave us clear instructions for arrival and check in was easy. Dave was a really friendly and approachable host, happy to help and gave us some great local knowledge. Thanks for a lovely stay, we will hopefully see you again!

We were lucky to find that Lucy Barn was available for a last minute booking for a few days. We were delighted with the location and feel of this little gem of an airbnb, right in the centre of the beautiful village of Grassington, with a great view of its cobbled streets. There are two excellent local pubs within a few steps of the door, both of which served us delicious pub meals; and the Devonshire Arms is just a minute away. the Barn is small but very comfortable. Alec was a first class host. He had stocked the fridge with fresh milk, bread, yogurts and other items, and there was fresh fruit waiting for us. One of the best airbnb's I've ever stayed in.

Had a great stay at this lovely cottage. From the minute we checked in we loved how peaceful it was and the views are amazing too. It's a great base for exploring the area and some nice pubs in the area too.

A beautiful , quirky place full of character. Perfect for a cosy catch up with my adult children.

Beautiful cottage with lots of extras included such as milk, eggs, cereal and fresh flowers, which was a lovely touch. The cottage was clean and the host was friendly. Well worth what we paid and we would definitely stay here again! 😊

I booked this as a few days away for my partner’s birthday and it was absolutely perfect - we’ve already said we’d return without any hesitation. The cottage is so peaceful, cosy and a true home away from home! I don’t think it would ever be possible to tire from that beautiful view! The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and kind. The ‘end place’ really does have every little touch you would ever need to feel cosy and treated! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful cottage with stunning views. We were greeted with a warm and cosy reception thanks to the central heating already being on when we arrived which made us feel right at home. Accommodation was spacious and comfortable and exactly as shown and described. Helen's directions were spot on despite Satnav wanting to take us across the hills and access was easier than we thought. There is so much to do within walking distance and the nearby gorge is well worth visiting. I would highly recommend this if you're looking to escape to the countryside for a relaxing break.
