Beautiful Garden cottage, stunning views + hot tub

JackRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A very peaceful and quiet retreat in a lovely part of the North East. It was so quiet and relaxing spending time in the hot tub and inside the cottage. Although this is no fault of Rachael's and/or the cottage please be wary that if you're over 6 foot you will be ducking a lot! I banged my head twice coming out of the bathroom when going during the night and still half asleep (again, this is nothing against the host or the location - just a pre-warning!)

Gatecroft Barn & Spa - Pet friendly with hot tub

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Gatecroft barn (& spa!) is a delightfully quaint little cottage in a fairly remote part of the North Pennines area. My wife and I were looking for somewhere almost off grid, from which we could walk our dog, enjoy walks together and indulge in a spot of fell running. We needed it to be not tooooo far from some kind of shops and close enough to drive if we fancied somewhere special to eat. We were also looking for somewhere with a little something else, a cherry on top. Well we found that, in spades! Garrigill is picturesque and then some. There are walks/ runs from the front door! The cottage is well equipped. The hot tub (the cherry on top!) is perfect for after the adventurous days in the great outdoors - hygiene and cleanliness of which is exemplary. The host was as helpful as you could hope for (def one of the better hosts we’ve come across!) and made some great recommendations - most of which we used and welcomed! Including a meal at Langley Castle. We’ll definitely go back… 5*

450 alpacas, hot tub & one bed cosy farm cottage!

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Ivy Cottage, 3 bedrooms with hot tub+games room

JakeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Jane met us on arrival, explained everything, then left us to chill out. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely gesture and were much appreciated. The cottage was spotless and felt extremely homely. We very much enjoyed the games room and enclosed hot tub. The garden areas were vast with lots of outdoor furniture. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream at Archers ice cream parlour (10 min walk) and experienced both pubs in nearby Heighington, very friendly, great food and service in the George & Dragon. Another recommendation is the nearby Raby castle, definitely a worthwhile visit. We definitely recommend staying at Ivy cottage and look forward to returning there again. Thank you Jane.

Beautiful 5 star 2 bedroom cottage with hot tub.

LeanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Mark’s and Michelle’s home is by far the best place we’ve stayed in. Everything’s exactly what was in the description— all the amenities are well cared for and the attention to detail are well thought of. So you can also expect a luxurious and pleasant getaway for a reasonable price. Thank you again to you both for your warm hospitality! We’ve had perfect and relaxing weekend rest. We’ll for sure come back— a little longer stay next time.

Dog- friendly cottage with woodburner & games room

PeterRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, Diane has thought of everything and the little extras like the dog blankets/bowls were very much appreciated. The wood burner made us extra cosy when we had a rainy evening. Great to have parking and somewhere near to exercise our dog. An ideal location , we had days out to Kielder Forest & Seahouses as well as exploring the Roman fort sites. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back. Thank you.

High Crook Cottage

We had a lovely time at the cottage. The location is beautiful and private with gorgeous views and very quiet and peaceful. There were peacocks , pheasants, goats and 2 very friendly cats, they were all very quiet and non-obtrusive. If you are an animal lover you'll greatly enjoy them but if you're not they were never in the way and they were very quiet. The location is perfect for visiting Hadrian's wall, to go on lovely nature walks, shops are a very short drive away. The cottage itself was immaculate, spotlessly clean, well appointment, very comfortable bed and couch, it had everything we needed and more. The photos don't do it justice, it's such a beautiful place, very spacious and bright and hands down the best place we've stayed in over the years.Christian was lovely, friendly, quick to respond , kindly left us some refreshments as well and he'd set everything up to perfection. We hope to return as we had such a lovely time and I encourage everyone looking to book with confidence !

Jays place is a wonderful cottage. If you like peace and quiet then this is perfect. Listening to the Curlews and Oyster catchers in the mornings and the sound of the stream opposite was perfect. The house is very comfortable and clean, with everything you need to self cater, and not far from local pubs and restaurants. There are plenty of walks right from the door in all directions. The only problem we had was not wanting to leave at the end of our stay.
