Sand and Waves: side by side Beachfront Bliss

MarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at Paola's place for a company retreat. We were able to book both houses and they very comfortably accommodated our group of 14, with room to spare. The houses were very comfortable. The property is amazing, with direct beach access and plenty of room. Paola was a great host. Very responsive and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Beach & Pool Retreat in Palm Coast

LaurenRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Our stay for two families was great. The kitchen was fully stocked with any appliance, dish, or utensil needed. The dining table could accommodate all 10 of us easily. The bedrooms were spacious and the 2nd floor wrap around deck was large. Pool was smaller than I imagined from the pictures, but it still fit everyone. the walk to the beach was easy and the beach/pool items left by the host were great (cart, beach unbrella, boogy boards, sand toys). Alina was easy to communicate with and house instructions were straight-forward. Highly recommend this house.

Cozy Beach House Of Your Dreams

DeniseRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Daniel's home was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was in a great location just over bridge walkable to many places. So much history and things to do nearby. There were some items in pictures that wasn't accurate. The desk and comfy white chair was possibly in a room that was locked. The other desk is in the hallway with a chair that isn't to comfortable to sit on every day. The master bedroom door is a slider and doesn't lock and there is no bathroom door. The backyard was big so dogs enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable. I would book Daniel's place again. Daniel did great at communicating

This was the best air b and b I have ever stayed in. Theresa communicated great with us. We had a blast with our family and friends while being here. The backyard was absolutely amazing and we spent almost all of our time hanging out there. Definitely going to come back to vacation here again!

This house if fantastic! Quality everything inside and out. From the well equipped professional kitchen to the comfortable living spaces, we had everything we needed and then some. Christopher our host was super and made sure everything was to our comfort and convenience. Short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is a pleasure to explore. Your guide to St. Johns County

Welcome to St. Johns County

St. Johns County hugs the Atlantic coast of Florida in the state’s northeast corner, running south along 42 miles of white sand, lined with beaches and the country’s earliest European-founded city. Separated from the rest of the mainland by the St. Johns River, the county runs from Ponte Vedra Beach in the north, just outside of Jacksonville, to Matanzas State Park in the south, with the largest city, St. Augustine, in the middle. Founded by Spanish colonizers in the 16th century, St. Augustine is the country’s oldest continuously occupied European settlement. Outside of town, the long beaches create a playground for watersports, and small beach towns offer myriad options for various vacation styles.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in St. Johns County

Winter through late spring are the peak seasons in St. Johns County. Daytime temperatures are cooler, and the weather is generally drier, with half as many rainy days as in the summer. November, December, and January welcome one of the region’s biggest events, the St. Augustine Nights of Lights festival. Though summer sees more rain, storms are usually short-lived, and the coastal breezes tend to moderate the heat.

Top things to do in St. Johns County

Fort Mose Historic State Park

Though nothing remains of the first legally sanctioned, free Black settlement in what would later become the United States, this park sits on the site of the historic fort, alongside a visitor center and an interactive museum telling the story of the emancipated former slaves who lived here. The 24-acre waterfront park also has picnic sites and a boardwalk that provides accessible opportunities for birdwatching.

Colonial Quarter

Watch the history of St. Augustine come to life before your eyes at this two-acre living museum. A combination of historic and replica buildings offer an immersive experience of the city’s previous lives, staffed by period-costumed guides and serving food from previous eras. Interactive exhibits cover five centuries of European settlement, including shipmaking, musket drills, and leatherworking.

Matanzas Inlet Beach

This stunning white sand beach stands out from others along the coast for its sandy nooks, hiking trails, and clear water flowing through the Matanzas Inlet. A short ferry ride away, the 18th-century Fort Matanzas sits on nearby Rattlesnake Island, offering a glimpse of history as well as a short boardwalk through the island’s maritime forest.
