Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Southern Province

This was genuinely one of our favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful with a stunning view of the lake and just the sounds of nature. The room is very luxurious, from the big comfy bed to the beautiful bathroom with a hot waterfall shower, it was perfect! Madhu’s hospitality was expectional, we were so well taken care of and felt at home right away! We had dinner on the terrace by the lake both nights and it was the most delicious and varied local food we’ve had! The breakfast was also fantastic! One of the highlights was when Madhu offered for us to borrow her paddleboard of the lake where we went round the lagoon at sunset and saw lots of widlife! A truly exceptional place, would definitely recommend!!

This was our favourite place in Sri Lanka. The accomodation is stunning - right on the lagoon so you will see birds and animals right from your balcony. Chamin was the perfect host, his wife cooked us incredible food - Sri Lankan breakfast and an incredible BBQ of lagoon fish - which was one of the best meals of our whole trip. We also went to Bundala park for a safari - Chamin was an incredible host and spotted every animal - we saw 15 elephants, crocodiles, pelicans, monkeys and hundreds of tropical birds. We will definitely be coming back!

Ich war eine Woche in der Unterkunft und war sehr zufrieden mit allem und kann und werde es weiterempfehlen. Man hat einen wundervollen Ausblick und ist umgeben von Natur, man hört das zwitschern von Vögel und man riecht den Duft von Zimt und kann in aller Ruhe entspannen. Man hat eine großzügige Gemeinschaftsküche wo man jederzeit kochen kann inklusive Essensbereich. Da ich durch mein Online Geschäft abhängig von gutem und stabilen Interner bin war ich sehr erfreut dass das Internet dafür ausreichend war. Der Kontakt mit der Gastgeberfamilie war sehr herzlich und man fühlt sich willkommen und alles wird gemacht damit einem geholfen wird und das Essen war traumhaft. Vielen Dank für alles, ich werde wiederkommen.

This place was so beautiful! So many well kept plants and the pool area was so nice. The gentleman working there and the lady that cooked were so kind and sweet and always smiling and wanting to help. Food was delicious. very kind people, even offered us our room to rest in after a safari after our check out time, so nice! Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again and again and again!

Wir hatten eine Nacht in der Unterkunft gebucht und die Begrüßung war super lieb und freundlich. Wir wurden mit einem leckeren Bananen Smoothie empfangen. Man muss jedoch genau auf seiner Karten App schauen. Es kann passieren das man über Googl-Maps hinter das Haus geleitet wird. Jedoch muss man am besten einfach auf der Hauptstraße bleiben und dann findet man es schnell.

At first - super fast communication with host. It makes everything much easier! Thanks for that. Everything was good at the end, just a little minus - when we arrived at evening pool was dirty. Also on next morning there was varan (big lizard) swimming - but our kids will say that it’s a plus :)) After we asked about the pool it was immediately cleaned. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really great. We recommend this place! No worries about the pool we swim and everything was good :)) Beautiful view!

We loved this place! We arrived just before sunset, and the host gave us coconuts to sip while watching the sunset as the peacocks come home to roost. In the morning, we were served a big breakfast (toast, fresh fruits, coffee) and watched the male peacock put on an amazing display on the rocks near the water. The location is just a short walk to Secret Beach, but really, just hanging out in the yard looking at the water was what made it so special. The owner is the nicest man, and is happy to share stories and tips. Despite feeling disconnected, there is also decent wifi! You can get the same style of accommodations for half the price elsewhere in Marissa, but what you are getting here is the view, the kindness, and one truly unforgettable peacock crew. Our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka!

Dushan is an amazing host! Extremely helpful and friendly:) Nature cabanas is a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay! All staff is super friendly and food is fantastic :) also super friendly with our baby! We would recommend!!

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit hoher Decke und großen Fenstern und einen schönen Ausblick auf den Fluss. Das große Bett ist sehr bequem. Leider keine A/C, aber in der Nacht mit Deckenventilator gut erträglich. Keine Kochmöglichkeiten, dafür günstige Restaurants in Fußnähe. Die Familie ist sehr nett - und bei Buchungsänderung unkompliziert.

We had a great time at this wonderful nature lodge. The environment was amazingly calm and relaxing, with lovely views. We enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan food. The staff were friendly and respectful. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing nature experience while staying somewhat close to the beach.

We were Really happy to stay at this lovely big villa! The room was very very clean, and very BIG !! The host really made our stay perfect! Very attentive to our needs! It’s located not too far from Yala National parc main entrance! Me and my family will come back!!

Our family of five stayed at Tranquil Wild for two nights, and it just wasn't long enough! We loved the size of our room, with a mezzanine for the kids, and everything was clean and comfortable. The communal dining and outdoor spaces, along with the pool, were the perfect spaces to relax in nature, with books, games and outdoor toys too. The staff, in particular Amal, just couldn't do enough for us and are an absolute credit to the establishment. Anne too was communicative, and arranged safaris at both Lunugamvehera and Udawalawe for us at reasonable prices, the former with an excellent guide. I was so grateful to have one less thing to do whilst trip planning! We'd absolutely recommend Tranquil Wild as a must do whilst in Sri Lanka.

This is such an amazing property! Book as soon as you can and stay for as long as you can!! We only wish we had longer to enjoy more of the beautiful views and absolutely incredible infinity pool overlooking the lake! Not to mention the food is sooo delicious and fresh and the host is super responsive with great recs for the area as well!

The stay was really great and the accommodation was stunning. The location is perfect for the safari and they were happy to help organise and answer any questions we had. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate area so the resort was lovely to chill and relax in around other activities. They were also helpful in providing a tuktuk to a nearby restaurant and friendly throughout our stay - would recommend!

Beautifully designed place, great view, its the closest location to the entrance of Sinharaja Forest reserve. The guides were friendly and skillful in spotting creatures, the pool was a great solution for chilling after treks. The logistics of the area might cause delays in service, but Prasat and the friendly staff try full heartedly to compensate. Advise to travellers, u should put ur shoes inside ur rooms at night, as stray dogs might damage them. It's out of the control of staff. Also Dogs may cause baby monkeys to panic and fall off trees, so discouraging them from accompanying you into the forest is better.

Truly a magical experience. To go into too much detail would be ruining the adventure, but William and his team have carved out a slice of paradise that we will remember for a long time.

Je recommande cet endroit. Lieu parfaitement calme, joli jardin, manifique vue et lever de soleil. La chambre immense ... et je ne dis pas tout pour laisser quelques bonnes surprises encore. Tout était parfait et Hasith au top. Toujours près à répondre aux question, aider et renseigner. Ses parents aussi étaient adorables et super serviables. Rapport qualité/prix imbattable à mon goût ! Gerne wieder, hier kann man abschalten und am Strand nackt Yoga machen so verlassen ist dieser Naturstrand. Wundervoll

This place is a little gem. If you’re looking for a private place to stay this is your spot! Absolutely beautiful cabin, the most qualitative of our whole stay in Sri Lanka. Very clean, airco worked perfectly, wifi too. The food is SOOOO DELICIOUS and the hosts are responsive, super nice and helped us with organising safari and our ride to Arugam bay with a fair price. We really recommend this stay as it’s very authentic and feels like family! Enjoy and thanks again !

Heerlijke stop over gemaakt hier. Werden warm ontvangen en er werd heerlijk gekookt. Ontbijt met uitzicht over het meer was heerlijk. Ook het zwembad was heerlijk.

Es war eine wirklich total tolle Unterkunft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Personal ist auch unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit!Jederzeit wieder.

Гостеприимный хозяин. Был всегда на связи и готов помочь (посоветовал что посмотреть и куда съездить, а так же с организацией транспорта). Было приятно общаться не только с ним, но и с его семьей. Прекрасное расположение, красивейший сад и всего 2 отдельных двухэтажных домика по комнате на каждом этаже. Прекрасное жилье со всем необходимым в том числе и хорошим интернетом. В этом месте тихо, комфортно, понравилось наличие гамаков. Приятно лежать в гамаке и слушать птиц. Было неожиданно увидеть безобидных обезьян на пальмах. Рядом (5 минут пешком) чистый и безлюдный пляж. Вкусные завтраки. Так же можно заказать ужин. Если мы еще раз окажемся в Koggala, то мы обязательно остановимся в этом месте. Спасибо вам большое за гостеприимство!

Worth every penny, that was one of the coolest stays I’ve ever had. The place was great, I would highly recommend it, it’s right beside the river which soothes the soul and Lulls you to sleep. I have to talk about the service, wow, incredible, I felt like royalty the way I was treated, and the main gentleman I believe his name was Dithu? He was beyond amazing, he went so out of his way to make me feel welcome, secure and cared for. He truly was amazing, all the staff were! As well as the main lady, I can’t remember her name! They also told me about cricket and we watched the fame while they prepared me a feast. Thankyou everyone for an incredible and memorable stay.
